I fitted an AP300 to my old Landcruiser Troopcarrier in 2003 or thereabouts – with magnets on the rear prop sealed on with building mastic. The thing has worked perfectly ever since on some of the most difficult tracks in Australia, even to the extent that, in low drive 1st gear in deep mud, I once used cruise control to get the wheels turning and got out and pushed and levered with a bit of wood (probably not a good idea but it worked and when you’re on your own in the outback, you’ll try anything, believe me!!)
The only thing I’ve ever had to do is replace the cable (got one from a bicycle shop) and I’ve never lost a magnet. Crossing creeks with water over the bonnet gave the system no problems either.
So you could say I’m a bit happy with it.
Anyway, my question is can I fit a CM8 to this old device? Can I fit two to give 6 pre-sets?
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Mr Ortmans
Very pleased to receive your email, it certainly sounds like you did a great job of ensuring the magnets would not come off, its a great advertisement for the kit and you're fitting ability.
Yes, you can fit the CM8 to the AP300 for programming 3 pre-set speeds into it, its just a plug in module. Unfortunately you can only fit one as there is only one plug for it. The cost is £22.50 + p @ p. I think p @ p will be not more than £5.00.
With best regards

Hi Steve,
I am writing to let you know how pleased we are with the Oyster satellite dish and Air Conditioning unit you fitted to our motorhome last Friday. We would like to add that the service we received, from all your team, was second to none.
We were only booked in for a satellite dish fixing but decided that an air con unit would be a good idea especially as we were headed for Italy. Your engineers went out of their way to fit the job in for us, so we would not have to come back again, even working through lunch to complete the work.
Can you please pass on a very special thank you to your staff for their hard work and dedication in completing the work in a very pleasant and professional manner?
We would have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone.
Thank you once again.

Hi Naomi,
I would just like to thank you ALL for the outstanding way I have been dealt with throughout in regard to the initial information and advice, booking in, and fitting of cruise control to our Honda CRV last Thursday. Since my first e-mail it has been clear I have dealing with professionals and the way we were dealt with and the finished result on Thursday only serves to reinforce this.
Thank you all very much and I will not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone.
I have covered several hundred miles since leaving you, on both motorway and rural roads and the system has worked perfectly - everything I had hoped for.
As a consequence (and I do feel rather guilty to mention it) I have a very minor niggle -which I am sure you can sort for me. For my driving position the end of the CM25 command module - and therefore the green/red indicator light -is completely obscured by the steering wheel, which necessitates me physically moving position to see it. I believe the stalk is length and angle adjustable and I wonder if we could arrange for it to be adjusted to suit please? Only a minor alteration is required, I am sure. This would make a brilliant system absolutely perfect!
Kindest Regards,
Charlie

Dear Sir,
I would like to draw your attention to my recent dealings with your sales department.
I have purchased a replacement rear view camera for my motorhome.
This is the first order I have placed with your company.
I must report that the service, help, advice, support, efficiency and speed of delivery has been first class.
So please thank all your sales team and I wish you all a Merry Xmas and prosperous New Year.
Kind Regards,
Zeb Dowsett.
(Satisfied customer).

Just a short note to say thanks very much for the brilliant job on my Ford Ranger. The cruise control is fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend your service and my cruise control to anyone. I will probably bore the pants off my friends over the next few weeks about it.
Kind regards,
Ian Thomson.

Nathan,
Just an update on the work you carried out for us (LPG Tank, EG20 Generator, Twin Lens Reversing Camera, Crank-up Sat Dish, 700w PSW inverter, Large battery).
We have now been using everything all summer including two weeks in the south of France without a hook-up. Everything works absolutely wonderfully. In France we were running a 20inch widescreen TV with a PS3 which was pushing our luck and at times meant up to 5hrs a day running the generator but it coped and in two weeks the generator/water heater/cooker only used 2/3 a tank of gas so was much cheaper than a hook up would have been (about half price). I wish I had gone for a 1000w inverter which would have run a kettle, toaster or travel hair dryer still you live and learn. The new battery solved the EG20 problems completely I think you should advise against using the generator with a standard fit transit leisure battery! The twin lens camera is a revelation and has increased my driving confidence immensely. You do need to adjust the contract and brightness to get the best out of it but its well worth the money. The 5” screen is fine – plenty big enough. Last but not least the crank up dish is just so easy to use. I can frequently set the direction and elevation just using the supplied compass and when I connect the Sky or Freesat box I get a perfect picture without even adjusting it. The dish couldn’t cope with the pine forests of the French Atlantic Coast but that’s not really its fault.
So thanks for all your help and great service. I would happily recommend your company to anyone wanting this kind of installation.
Regards
Steve Hall.

Naomi,
what a fantastic email, I really am enjoying working with yourself and the business, sounds like a fine family setup...
Nathan certainly knows his stuff, and your explanation via the email is perfectly clear to understand... Now I know my options I can consider how I want to proceed...
As background I hope to be going long term motor homing around April-09, initially round UK, and then to Europe only retunring to the UK for end of July to begining of Sept (before and after the cross channel prices go up as the kids aren't at school), so I am gathering together all the information and options that are available, for all aspect of long term travel.
If I'm doing anything satellite TV related I will certainly be working with yourselves
Thanks again for a very comprenhensive email reply to my enquiry.
Russ.

Naomi
Thanks for your prompt and fabulous way that you answered my query....most impressed. So much so that I won't look elsewhere and I will just look for a time that I can come to you to have it fitted.
I will be in touch again when I can afford the time to come across to brum.
Thanks again
John.

Hi Femma,
Nice to meet with you last week, good to out a face to the emails!
I just wanted to say thank you for the work you did fitting the replacement VRM6100. There was no way I would have been able to do the work myself and the new connections giving me sound in reverse is a great improvement. Now I can hear when I reverse into the dustbins in my driveway!
Many thanks.
Best regards.
Julian Ingram.
